Road-surface repairs on the bridge over the Svir River connecting the Leningrad region and Karelia are scheduled to be completed by mid-November 2010. The decision to completely overhaul the road and rail combined bridge was made in July 2010. The bridge accommodates the M18 Kola federal motorway and a rail line.
